Community visit

Leadership Coachella Valley is an organization made up of professionals who represent all the major industries in the Coachella Valley. 

As part of a focus on education in the Coachella Valley, the members came to see two Career Technical Education programs offered by DSUSD.   After visiting the Automotive Technology program at Amistad, members came to see the "Tiny House" project.   The project is a joint program between College of the Desert and the Career Technical Education program in Desert Sands.   High school students, from across DSUSD, are in concurrently enrolled in College of the Desert.  They take a series of courses.  Their pinnacle project, this year, is building a self-contained tiny home.
